I Love You Jesus

We had a wonderful weekend. Started it off on Saturday with a cookie day. My wonderful sister in law and her three little boys came over and we had such a good time. Note to self though, never ever ever, under any circumstances, let your child eat sprinkles BEFORE a nap. Allie was such keyed up on sugar she couldn't get settled down to go to sleep!

Then of course there was church on Sunday, which is always wonderful. We have added a Sunday night prayer/singing service which has turned out to be very special. There are only a handful of us there, but we have such a wonderful opportunity to fellowship and just love one another. I just don't think anything brings you closer together than praying together! And now here we are and it is Monday! I have been trying to teach Allie about Jesus, because if she can love Winnie the Pooh, Barbie, and Elmo with all of her heart than she can love Jesus right? O how I love Jesus gets called out just about every Sunday, so Allie has picked up on the words. It is the sweetest thing, and I have captured a little bit of it on video. The Christmas pajamas are compliments of Aunt Beck, Uncle Dave, and the boys. Thanks guys! I could have just eaten her last night when I put these on her!

Barbie

I would have thought that Allie was a little small for Barbie just yet. However, she absolutely LOVES her. We were in Wal-Mart today and to give my tired arms a break, I put her in the buggy and handed her this little Barbie Bubbles bottle and you would have thought that I had given her the world. All day she treated this little Barbie like she was her very best friend. When I gave her something to eat, she would give it to Barbie. When she colored, she tried her very best to get Barbie to color too. She gave her about a million kisses. When I first picked up the Barbie bubbles I thought, "four dollars, that is rediculous for a half an ounce of bubblebath!" But seeing Allie today with this little Barbie, I think I would have paid ten! Now the trick is going to be taking it from her to put it up for Christmas because a $4 bottle of bubblebath definitely calls for a special occasion!!!

TRANSLATION

Everyone has been telling me that I needed to get Allie's little sayings on video. There are some things she says that sounds absolutely nothing like the real thing. In this video you will hear her version of:
Bear In the Bedroom: la la loom
Winnie the Pooh: da da dee
Jay Jay the Jet Plane: bla bla blee
Jay Jay the Jet Plane, thats me: ma me
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star: pa pa pa pa high, tinkle tinkle
I love you: I a too
There are many words she can say very well, but what good are those? These are the funny ones!!!

How I know God looks after me!

I will start with the funny story. I was in Wal-Mart (my best friend and Michael's worst enemy :) ) and I was through at check out but had to use the potty. I asked the clerk if I could leave my buggy there and go use the potty. In my hurriend frenzy, my crazy self walked right into the men's restroom. I looked around and thought, "hmm this looks different from the last time I was in here, and why did they take out the other stalls?" I proceeded to go into the handicap stall but found the toilet less than desirable and when I turned around I saw them, THE URINALS. Thank God that the toilet I wanted to use was nasty! If I had went on and gone, I am almost sure that I would have walked out to a man using the bathroom!! I hurried the heck out of there and went to the ladies restroom. All the while thanking my sweet Jesus that I did not see another man doing his business. That would have been horrible!!!

On a more serious note. Allie has a tendency to tell on herself. She will come up to me saying "nooo nooo" pointing to the direction of where the "nooo nooo" occurred. Well, Saturday morning she came with that little look and her exclamation of nooo nooo. When she got to me, I realized that she has spilled coffee all over herself. Michael had left his coffee cup on the computer desk and she decided she wanted to taste it. The first thing I did was hug her and praise the Lord that the coffee was no longer hot. Then ofcourse I marched her to the coffee cup now on the floor and gave her a good reason never to touch a coffee cup again! I want her to be scared to death of ever touching a coffee cup again. Just when you think that they no longer have the urge to take things that they aren't supposed to, they prove you wrong!!! In all seriousness, Allie could have really been hurt so I know that God and His angels protected her from being burned.

Now, I will leave you with pictures, ofcourse, of Alliebug. This was at MiMi's house. It was so cold and windy out so we found a hat probably intended for a six month old and squeezed it on Allie's big head!
