It's happening again!

At my last doctor's visit, my doctor ranted and raved about how proud he was of my weight gain. I had only gained 1.5 pounds in four weeks. I tried to explain the the doc that this was strictly due to the fact that for about 90% of the day, looking at food made me want to do ANYTHING bug eat! I proceeded to tell him that when I started feeling better, he would no longer be so proud of me. That was followed with a little chuckle from him while he said, "o you will do fine!" Well, I am not doing very fine. I gained very quickly with Allie because all I wanted to do is eat, and it is happening again. I went to the grocery store and bought the following:
Salad
Brocolli
Carrots
Cucumbers
Pears
Grapes
Banannas
and the like. Guess where I was at after neatly stocking all of these yummy good for you foods? Yep, you guessed it! In the McDonald's drive thru lane ordering a McChicken and Fries!! I have found myself starting to roll my eyes and huff at skinny people, like it is their fault that I am outgrowing my MATERNITY clothes and I am only fifteen weeks pregnant. Yeah, don't think that the small maternity clothes are going to quite cut it this go round. Anywho, the good news is I will be having this baby a little early so maybe I won't break the fifty pound mark. I gained 33 with Allie, but I am home all day with this one and it is just so hard to keep my hands out of the Doritos bag. I need to quit kidding myself by saying that I buy those things for Michael! Come on Dana, he maybe eats two and the rest is consumed by little ole you!
I am getting SOOOO excited though. My sweet and precious friend Amber just had a little boy and he is so cute I could just eat him right through the computer screen. My sister just found out she is having a girl and she is only two days further along than me, so it is making this pregnancy seem more and more real! I could actually find out wether this little buger is a boy or girl.
Allie bug is doing wonderfully. Her speech is just getting better all the time. And get this, the girl knows her colors. She proceeds to tell me throughout the day things like, "purple pants, blue shirt, blue towel, green rag." I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast!
Ok, I will give you a break from my novel. Hope to post soon. Also hope to get a camera next month so you can see how much Allie (and I ) have grown!

Childhood Games

Today I have my nephew James with me. I have been enjoying watching Allie and him play so much. So far, they have colored on everything but paper, played hide n go seek, pretended they were puppy dogs, and chased each other all around the house. They are completely out of breath and having the time of their lives! Not the mention they had a lunch that is a favorite for all kids, the all american hotdog! As I watch them, I am reminded of playing with my cousins and how much fun and innocent youth is. So what if my house is turned upside down. So what if the noise is so loud the neighbors three houses down can hear. So what if Allie is learning a few bad habits like squeeling as loud as she possibly can. Today, they are just being kids. Who needs TV on a day like today. As I watch them, I grow more and more excited that Allie will soon be a big sister, and she will be teaching our precious little one the ins and outs of being a kid, a true, carefree, bonified kid!

Beating Away!

Today I had another doctors visit for the new little Hataway. Everything went wonderfully. We heard the heartbeat for the first time and ofcourse it was AWESOME to hear! The nurse told me that the heartbeat ranged from 150-160. Allie was always a little higher so maybe we are going to have a little boy. I honestly don't care what the sex of this baby is, I already love it as if I were holding it in my arms right now. I cannot wait to lay eyes on this little buger!
Alliebug is approaching the "I am going to do whatever I want and I don't care what you say" stage of her life, so that has been real fun. She loves telling me no and throwing herself on the floor crying when she doesn't get her way. She has also mastered the "cute smile" and the innocent little "what happened" to try to get herself out of trouble. I think that Mommy is going to have to find a quiet chair with Allie's name on it very very soon!!!
Anyway, I am so tired right now after a long day so I think that I will curl up in my bed with a book and call it a day.
