Cutie Pies

On Friday morning Allie asked me, "where did my gum go?" She had been chewing a little piece of gum and I thought it had just fallen out of her mouth while she was playing or either she swallowed it. I simply told her that I would find it later and forgot about it. At about 4:00 that afternoon I was running my fingers through her hair and found the said piece of forgotten about gum. I realized that I was going to have to cut all of her hair for it to look right and with trembling hands and many promises to a jittery two year old that she could have all of the candy she wanted after I finished, I gave her the biggest haircut I have ever given her. I am really glad though because it is as cute as can be. And yes, this would be Allie eating the said promised candy!

And here is my little chunky monkey. I cannot believe how big he is getting. He looks like he is three months old! I do have to say that he is looking more and more like me. I told Michael last night that it is so awesome to look at Allie who I think looks just like her Daddy and think, "wow, she is ours!" and now Joshua who looks so much like my family and think, "wow, he is ours!"

Hey, Little Sister,

I missed seeing you, Michael, and Josh today. Saw Allie and her new haircut. Didn't understand the reasons for the haircut...now I do.

EVERY one of my children AND Sara D., my GRANDdaughter did their OWN haircuts. What some butchering they did and what some SHORT haircuts I had to do to make them presentable to go out in the world. But, they tho't they had done a terrific job.

Allie is a gorgeous girl. When she saw me and Charles and George come in, she had the most expectant look on her face. Charles didn't have any candy except bubble gum and didn't want to give her that. She just kept staring at him and he was actually squirming in his seat under her eyes. He remembered putting some candy up in the pastor's office once and went in there, found a sucker, and gave it to Allie. She finally quit doing the staring sadly tactic. GRIN!!!

Love you all, true. May God continue to bless & keep you all.

Allie's hair does look great. Good job mom, but if her gum ever gets in a place that you can not cut, peanut butter works great! We had to do that several time with our girls. :)

What a beautiful haircut! It fits her face perfectly. You're so brave to cut her hair. The most nerve I can muster is a bang trim for Abbey!
